1. Chandrayaan 2 Launching from Sriharikota at 2:43 pm. Chandrayaan-2 will be launched from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Center. Chandrayaan will take 48 days to reach the moon. Following the success of this mission, India will be among the 4 countries that have made soft landing on the moon. Soft landing is so dangerous that so far America, Russia, China have been able to accomplish this feat.
2. Earlier this mission was to be launched on 15th July, but it was postponed after knowing the technical shortcomings in the launch vehicle at some time. ISRO has made several changes to this mission, which will not affect the delays in launch.
3.Despite the launch date, Chandrayaan-2 will arrive on the moon on 6-7 September. The purpose of this is to bring it on time that the lander and rover can work according to the schedule. To save time, Chandrayaan will take less than one round of earth.
4.The south pole is dark enough. There is no sunlight radiating there too. Therefore, no country dares to land there till today.
5. Chandrayaan-2 will land on the southern pole of the moon. Earlier, no country has landed in the South Pole of the Moon. With this, India will be the first country to land here.
6. There were 5 rounds before, but now it will rotate 4. Its landing is fixed in such a place where the sunlight is high. The lights will begin to subside after September 21. Lander-Rover has to work for 15 days, so it is important to reach the time.
7. Chandrayaan-2 is also very special in itself. The weight of this vehicle is 3800 kg. Its total expenditure is 603 crores rupees. There are 13 payloads in Chandrayaan. It includes 5 of India, 3 in Europe, 2 in and 1 payload of Bulgaria. Chandrayaan-2 also has 3 modules.
8. Chandrayaan-2 will reach the surface of the moon on the 48th day from day of launching i.e on 6th or 7th Sep 2019
9. The cost of construction of Chandrayaan-2 is 978 crores. It is made up of indigenous technology in a whole manner. Its main objective is to study the amount of water on the moon, to know the minerals present on the moon, to know about the circumstances, to study the atmosphere of the moon. There are several types of cameras, radars in Chandrayaan-2, which can be studied in depth about the moon.
10.Designed to carry four-ton class satellites:-
GSLV Mark III is designed to carry 4-ton class satellites in Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO). There are two solid straps on motor in its vehicle. It has a core liquid booster and is cryogenic in the above phase. So far ISRO has sent 3 GSLV-MK3 rockets.

Chandrayaan-2, built by indigenous technology, has a total of 13 payloads. In eight orbits, three payload lander vendors and two payload rowers are in pragyan. Five payloads belong to India, three Europe, two America and one from Bulgaria.

With this 8 payloads are being sent, which will have different jobs. Through it, efforts will be made to ascertain the existence of the moon and its development. Deposited water in the form of ice will be detected. The external environment will be scanned.

The name of Pragyan, separated by the rover lander, will rotate on the surface of the moon by 50 meters and take photographs. The chemical analysis of the soil of the moon will be analyzed. For the power of the rover there is no problem, it is also equipped with solar power equipment.

17. Lander (Vikram):-
This is ISRO’sfirst mission, in which the lander will go. Lander will be separated from Arbiter (Vikram) and descend on the Moon’s surface. Vikram Landerwill do a soft landing on the surface of the moon. It will land on the moon surface at a speed of 2 minutes per second. After the separation of Vikram Lander, it will move towards an area which has little research on so far. Lander will measure the Moon’s lakes and in addition to other things, it will dig into the lunar crust.

2.Estimate the amount of water on the moon.
