What is MBBS ?
An MBBS degree is an undergraduate course for applicants who wish to fulfill their dream of becoming a doctor. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), is a professional degree in medical sciences. A person with the MBBS degree becomes a certified doctor. The total duration of the MBBS course is 5 years and 6 months, including one year of rotating internship in hospitals, health centers and health camps organized by non-profit organizations (NGOs). The MBBS course program includes studies on anatomy, pharmacology, pathology, as well as community health and medicine, pediatrics and surgery. The curriculum, prescribed in such a way that MBBS graduates can choose a specialization to continue studying and practicing medicine. Eligiblity for MBBS Degree:-
1.The basic criteria to follow MBBS is that the student must have completed his 10 + 2 exams and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of qualifications in Physics, Chemistry and Biology by a recognized board or university.
2.To request the medical admission exam, the applicant must be at least 17 years old on 31st December of the year of admission or before. The upper age limit is 25 years.
3.The student must also take several other national exams conducted by the CBSE, New Delhi, that is, NEET (National Eleigibility Cum Entrance Test) to reserve their place in 15% of the total number of medical and dental courses universities in the same way. Directed by the Union of India. Students also apply for the AIIMS & JIPMER MBBS, CET, AIMEE entrance exam to obtain admission to the MBBS program.

What is Career options after MBBS?
During a year of the MBBS internship, students can work with hospitals and health centers such as consultants, doctors, medical assistants in critical care units, among others. They can also work on government health campaigns and help the public become aware of diseases, medications, health and fitness through conferences.
At the end of the MBBS internship, students can register as doctors at the Medical Council of India (MCI). They can apply for a postgraduate degree in medical sciences, that is, MD / MS or continue working in the health sector as qualified doctors.
1. Diploma of the National Board (DNB)
This is the best option for MBBS graduates to continue their dreams of becoming a medical specialist. DNB is a postgraduate diploma course offered by the National Examination Board, and recognized by the MCI. Although there are some problems with DNB. First, the approval rate in DNB is very low, depending on your course and hospital from which you complete your course. Second, many hospitals give preference to MD / MS candidates than DNB candidates. Third, the DNB course is taught primarily in private hospitals where the amount of exposure is less than that of the government. hospitals, especially in surgical branches.
2. MD / MS / Diploma
MD / MS / Diploma is the most commonly chosen path after MBBS for people who wish to continue their medical career. You can obtain a postgraduate course in various specialties such as internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, etc. For this, a candidate must appear in several PGMEE that are held each year. MD / MS are 3-year courses, while the diploma is a 2-year program. MD / MS prepares a specialist doctor who always needs the time.
3. Combined medical services (CMS)
UPSC conducts a combined examination of medical services every year in the month of July / August for recruitment in government institutions such as railroads, municipal corporations and medical officers. Candidates can appear on the exam after completing the last year of their MBBS degree. The prestige, pride and power associated with the UPSC CMS are much more present in Indian society. For some, being recruited through UPSC is a top priority considering the esteem, reputation and honor associated with UPSC’s work. What is the duration for MBBS?
It is said that the duration of the MBBS course is a 5 year 6 Months course that includes one year of mandatory rotating practices, so in reality, the duration of the academic year is four and a half years, distributed over 9 semesters. The Medical Council of India(MCI) formulates and manages MBBS course structures because it is the only body of accredited medical courses in India. The MBBS course fee varies by institutions. the course can be really nominal as Rs. 10,000 per year, but for other institutes like All India Quota, it can cost between Rs. 50,000-2 Lakhs per year.
Entrance Exam fo MBBS
For admission to the MBBS course in India, a student must present for the National Cum Income Eligibility Exam (NEET). This is the only entrance exam for admission to the MBBS course and is accepted by government and private institutions. Based on the list of merits, the eligible candidate obtains admission to the MBBS course.
Two other important entrance exams for admission to the MBBS course in India were the JIPMER MBBS Exam and the AIIMS MBBS Exam. However, these exams were discarded in 2019, which makes NEET the most important medical admission test in India.
