What is output devices of computer?

What is an Output Devices?:-

Output devices are computer hardware or peripherals or auxiliary devices. Output devices receive data or instructions from a computer. Basically, the computer interacts with the output device in some way to display and generate data or project data received from the computer. The most common output devices are monitors and printers, but many other output devices. The main difference between an input device and an output device is that data is sent to the computer via input, and output devices receive data or instructions from the computer.

10 examples of output devices:-
  1. Printer
  2. Monitor
  3. Headphones
  4. GPS
  5. Video Card
  6. Plotter
  7. Sound Card
  8. Braille Reader
  9. Projector
  10. Audio Speakers

10 output devices and their functions:-

A printer is an external hardware output device that takes electronic data stored on a computer or other device and produces a hard copy of it. Usually, that means printing images and text on paper. There are many types of printers, inkjet and laser printers are two of the most common. Modern printers typically connect to a computer via a USB cable or Wi-Fi.

A printer is an output device used to prepare a permanent output device on paper. Printers can be divided into two main categories.

Impact Printer: Impact printers are a type of printer that works by bringing the ink ribbon and paper into direct contact. The metal or plastic head hits the ink ribbon, the ribbon is pressed against the paper, and the sheet is printed with the impression of the desired characters (letters, numbers, dots, lines). Dot-matrix printers, Daisy-wheel printers, and line printers are commonly used types of impact printers.

Non-impact Printer: This is a type of printer that does not hit or affect the ribbon being printed. They used laser, electrophotography, electrostatic, chemical, and inkjet technologies. Printers without impact are generally quieter. The printer uses non-impact technologies such as inkjet and laser technology. The printer there provides faster and higher quality O / P. Examples of non-impact printers are inkjet printers and laser printers.

A monitor is another most common output device that displays video images and text. The monitor consists of a circuit, a screen, a power supply, a button to adjust screen settings, and a cover that holds all of these components. It is also called the Video Display Terminal(VDU).

Modern monitors with a case depth of a few centimeters or less are usually Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) or Thin Film Transistor (TFT) monitors. An older monitor that would have a case depth of about 30 cm is the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitor.
